Job Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist in our organization, we support patients in their own homes. We create conditions for Malmö residents to live as independently and meaningfully as possible. To do this, you will work with rehabilitation, training, and assistive devices – all aimed at providing opportunities for a healthier and safer life. We prioritize being present with the patient and we often follow patients over a longer period where we can see their development up close.

We often conduct our patient visits in pairs (an occupational therapist and a physiotherapist) and you will be responsible for a specific area. We travel to home visits by bike or car, and our patient group consists of adults over 20 years old. The work is very varied as you meet people with different diagnoses, backgrounds, challenges, and needs. Whether you are newly graduated or have many years of experience in your profession, you will develop and learn new things in our organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. You need to be able to bike to get around to our patients, and you will receive your own work bike. If you have a driver's license, it is advantageous and you will have access to a car if needed. You need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with colleagues and patients as well as to document. If you have experience in municipal operations, it will be helpful for your introduction, but the most important thing is that you are curious to learn, have a good attitude, and are solution-focused. Here, you work with people, so it is also important that you are flexible, communicative, and enjoy collaborating with others.

Section Bulltofta within ordinary housing in the Health, Care, and Social Services Administration is based at two addresses; Von Troils väg 1 in Rosengård and Hohögsgatan 116 in Husie. We have a close collaboration between both teams, with, for example, joint meetings, professional gatherings, training, planning days, and workplace meetings. The large team consists of a total of 9 occupational therapists and 10 physiotherapists. We are currently looking for an occupational therapist for the office at Hohögsgatan 116 in Husie. By bike, it takes about 10 minutes from Värnhem.
