The Orthopedic Department 083-084 is at the forefront of care development and patient consideration. Work in our department is varied, with no two days being the same. As a nurse, you will be challenged and developed by diverse tasks that include both pre- and post-operative care as well as rehabilitation. In a cross-professional team, you will work together with the patient and other professions to create the best conditions for person-centered care. We focus on the patient, and to make this possible, we strive to reduce the number of patients per nurse.

In addition, professional development and education are prioritized. We have both an educational nurse and an educational nursing assistant associated with our department, whose tasks are to identify professional development needs and plan, implement, and follow up on professional development for nurses and nursing assistants. They also provide guidance in complex care situations and serve as experienced colleagues who are always available. They also organize structured reflection within the professions, allowing colleagues to reflect on topics related to the profession. The educational nurse will be with you throughout your introduction and beyond in your work on the department! We also have clinical training rooms (KUS), which support a good learning environment. Our students are our future.

The Central Hospital of Kristianstad (CSK) is the acute hospital for northeastern Skåne. Here, qualified emergency care is provided around the clock by competent and dedicated staff. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. We have about 2,600 employees at the hospital. The orthopedic area (VO) within the Hässleholm hospital administration operates at the hospitals in Hässleholm and Kristianstad. The orthopedic operations at CSK include emergency surgeries, outpatient services, and inpatient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome two nurses for night shifts to our department. Weekend work is included, two out of five weekends. The department applies a wish schedule.

We want to create a working method that benefits both patients and staff. We focus on the medical and care needs of the patient, which means that team division is based on the needs of the patients and the experience of the staff. You will be responsible for the nursing tasks that occur in an operating acute care department. Many patients cared for by us also have internal medical conditions, which means you will develop a broad competence. In addition to direct patient work, all staff members are involved in developing and improving the care of our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Regarding formal requirements, you must be a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required.
