We are a stable and well-functioning unit with 10,200 listed residents, operating in an area with a unique combination of multicultural urban life and Skåne countryside. In the medical clinic, there are six specialists in general medicine and seven training physicians (four residents, two interns, and one junior doctor). Would you like to be the physician who complements our team?

We are a multifaceted organization with clinics for district nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and occupational therapists. There are specialized nurse-led clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, heart failure, cognitive impairment, and targeted health talks. We also have a well-developed rehabilitation coordinator function at 100%, an elderly care clinic, a lifestyle clinic, and a mobile care team. In telephone counseling and primary care triage, the initial care is smoothly handled by nurses with support from physicians, physiotherapists, and nursing assistants. In the waiting room, there is an interpreter and a service host.

Competence development is important to us, and we are open to trying new working methods. The organization develops dynamically through excellent collaboration between employees and managers. Collegial dialogue is highly prioritized with regular physician meetings. Supervision and educational issues are close to our hearts, and we have undergone a SPUR inspection with the best results. Other in-depth assignments such as participation in knowledge management and regional tasks occur to a high extent.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as a resident physician in general medicine includes, among other things:

• Assessment and treatment of patients of all ages with all types of health problems that do not require resources within specialized healthcare.
• Teamwork in rehabilitation issues and chronic medical conditions.
• A limited list responsibility with the opportunity to follow your patients over time.
• Study time every week.
• Allocated time for supervision every week.
• Participation in resident days and other competency development that you and/or the unit may need.
• Work may also occur in the unit's mobile care team, where there are about 90 patients enrolled.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must be a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.
