The Community Building Administration is responsible for food and cleaning services, land development, urban planning and building permits, parks and green areas, streets, water, and waste. Here, more than 300 employees work together to make Ystad a great municipality to live, work, and thrive in.

We provide meals for preschools, schools, and elderly care. With 19 modern kitchens and about 55 chefs and meal assistants, we deliver high-quality and creative meals. The operation also includes combined services in food and cleaning. The operation is led by two meal managers with support from an administrative position. Your physical placement is central along with the rest of the management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will lead and distribute work within the operation in consultation with the meal managers. You will work for sustainable staffing and be responsible for schedule planning and staffing during peak vacation periods. Recruitment and follow-up of hourly employees will be done in consultation with the meal managers, and you will plan the reception of interns and summer youth. You will follow up on contracts within the operational area and work with menu planning, nutritional content, cost coverage, and statistical follow-up.

Furthermore, you will plan and lead practical tests of new products and cooking methods. You will contribute creativity to the development of environmental work, for example through climate-smart solutions and by preparing the right amount of food. You will participate in the development of menus to meet the future food guest and ensure good economic sustainability that provides a favorable return for those we serve. Together with the meal managers, you will work for a good, sustainable, trust-based, and developing work environment. As part of the team, you will participate in improvement work, develop new working methods, and lead processes together with colleagues. Your duties will also include follow-up of self-control and participation in emergency preparedness work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is experienced in leading larger groups and has a good understanding of process-driven work within the public sector. You have the ability to meet future needs and contribute with a strong focus on creating a holistic dining experience within preschools, schools, and elderly care.

We see that you have strong hospitality skills, are unpretentious, and a good ambassador. You work exemplary and convey pride in the food unit's operations. With enthusiasm, you contribute to creating contact points with diners, customers, and clients that benefit the development of the operation.

We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements:

• Education in restaurant and food program
• Work experience in public operations or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience in food data management programs
• At least 5 years of work experience
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driving license B and access to a personal car
• Good knowledge of the Office package

In addition, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and action-oriented. You have a natural ability to notice what needs to be done and act proactively. The work involves both independent work and teamwork. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
