The Animal and Environmental Unit is one of the seven units of the County Administrative Board that works with permits, supervision, and control in areas such as infection control, health, food, feed, and animal welfare. We also work with supervision, assessment, and guidance within the Environmental Code's areas, water operations, water protection, dam safety, environmentally hazardous activities, fish farming, wind power, hydropower, contaminated areas, etc. Our employees include environmental protection officers, county veterinarians, and animal welfare officers. Description

We are looking for two environmental protection officers for the Environmental Protection Function for temporary positions during the parental leave of the regular officer, 1 position until the end of the year and 1 position until May 30, 2027.

You will handle applications, statements, and supervise water operations (for example, in hydropower, water measures, water extraction) while contributing to sustainable development. Other tasks may also be relevant depending on your background.

Responsibilities

As an environmental protection officer, you will play a significant role in our work to supervise water operations to ensure compliance with applicable permits. Your tasks will include, among other things: collaborating with internal and external parties, conducting supervision of applicable permits for water operations, and preparing proposals and materials for statements on permit applications from a holistic perspective.

Qualifications

We expect you to have a scientific academic education in areas such as environmental and health protection inspector, engineering, or other relevant education deemed equivalent by the employer. The qualifications we value are:
