Gustavsberg University Health Center is recruiting a specialist in general medicine
Gustavsberg University Health Center is a large and well-functioning health center with approximately 35 doctors and around 31,000 registered patients located in modern premises in Gustavsberg harbor.
We are one of three university health centers in the Stockholm Region. Our goal is to create a dynamic environment where healthcare, continuing education, development work, innovation, research, and educational assignments for students are integrated – to make primary care even better for our patients.
As part of the Academic Primary Care Center, we support research and development for the entire region's primary care, regardless of operational form.
We have an extensive research and development operation, with close collaboration with Karolinska Institute. We also offer continuing education and support in improvement work for primary care staff, focusing on insurance medicine and mental health.
We employ approximately 35 doctors and have around 31,000 registered patients. The health center has good access to psychologists and a well-functioning collaboration between doctors and the psychosocial team, as well as regular rounds with psychiatric outpatient care.
We work closely with our nursing assistants, and we have an extensive nursing reception including asthma/COPD reception, diabetes reception, warfarin reception, and geriatric reception. The operation also includes a large primary care rehabilitation unit where we collaborate closely and conduct what we call rehab acute, where doctors and physiotherapists meet the patient together. We also have child health care (BVC) and maternity care (MVC) including a youth clinic where interested doctors can also serve.
We continuously develop our working methods and are involved in influencing the design of services such as Always Open. Digital contacts are a significant and natural part of the operation.
The health center has a large home care service that covers large parts of the scenic Värmdö municipality. Home care works in a team-based manner, and in rounds with the responsible nurse, work is distributed and planned. We work closely with Nacka Geriatrics in a well-functioning collaboration.
We offer:
We strongly believe in continuity in the patient-doctor relationship and in customizing the work to offer an attractive and flexible work environment. As a specialist, you will have your own list with a limited number of patients. We strive for high medical quality where continuing education for all employees is prioritized, and all doctors have their own individual development plan. The wellness allowance is generous, and there is an opportunity for wellness hours.
