About the position

Within Aging Neurology and Orthopedics, we care for geriatric patients who are in different phases of their recovery. Our mission includes continued care and treatment after the acute phase of stroke, as well as pre- and postoperative nursing for hip fractures. We also initiate rehabilitation/mobilization for our patients and have close collaboration with external geriatrics for continued rehabilitation. In addition, we also treat more general geriatric medical conditions.

As a nurse with us, you will be responsible, together with a nursing assistant, for the care of assigned patients and perform the nurse's medical tasks. The work is varied and may include medication management, central access, handling of medical technical equipment, drainage, stoma, tracheostomy, and more. Our operations maintain a high level of care with a strong focus on acute care for geriatric patients, which gives you the opportunity to develop in many different areas, especially as our patients often have multiple underlying diagnoses.

You will also have close collaboration with the discharge coordinator, who is responsible for all social planning prior to discharge. The position offers a wide variety of patient cases, where you encounter many different diagnoses and get to work with both pre- and postoperative care for our hip patients, making the job both stimulating and developing.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license

Meritorious:

• Work experience as a nurse
• Previously worked in elderly care or in neurology and/or orthopedics
