Description

The Psychiatric Clinic in Mariestad is responsible for the assessment, investigation, and treatment of patients with psychiatric conditions at a specialist level.

The clinic provides structured and goal-oriented care, treatment, and rehabilitation both individually and in groups. We have outpatient services, a mobile team, and day care.

About 35 employees with mixed competencies work at the unit: medical secretaries, social workers, psychologists, nurses, psychiatric nurses, psychotherapists, caregivers, doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

As a social worker, you will work with all patient groups, providing a great opportunity to gain broad experience. There is also the possibility for specialization within the framework of the unit's mission.

Along with Skaraborg Hospital's other specialist clinics in Falköping, Lidköping, and Skövde, there are networks for social workers where collaboration and knowledge exchange take place. You will also have the opportunity for supervision.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and responsible for psychosocial competence. Your tasks will include social mapping, support for patients and relatives, collaboration with care neighbors and authorities such as the employment agency and social insurance agency. You will work both individually and with group treatment.

If the employer finds it appropriate, certain coordination responsibilities may become relevant.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has other education/experience that we consider equivalent. You preferably have previous experience from social services, psychiatry, and/or other types of treatment work. Competence as a Case Manager or similar working methods is an advantage.

You are resilient, proactive, and solution-focused. Since you will be working with patients in vulnerable situations, it is essential that you can establish trusting relationships and possess a high level of personal maturity. You can work independently but also collaborate well with colleagues and other partners. Furthermore, you need to be comfortable working with groups.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

A driver's license is desirable, and company cars are available at the clinic.
