We are now looking for a sports facility caretaker for our sports and outdoor facilities who wants to support the residents of Jönköping Municipality and the sports and community life. As a sports facility caretaker, you are always the face of Jönköping Municipality. Your work includes providing good service and ensuring that all visitors feel welcome and are met with a safe and clean sports and outdoor facility. Your new job

You will primarily work with operating the ice machine, general ice maintenance, preparing for training and matches, cleaning, and minor repairs. You will also work with the operation of the municipality's hiking trails and outdoor baths, which includes mowing grass, clearing, building boardwalks and windbreaks, creating barbecue areas, and keeping our outdoor baths clean. You need to be prepared to work at a high pace at times and be able to handle a physically demanding job.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a high school education or equivalent and work experience in a relevant field. You are experienced in operating facility vehicles, tractors, ice machines, and have experience with clearing and chainsaws. You have experience building smaller wooden structures, such as windbreaks and boardwalks. A B driver's license is required, and it is an advantage if you have a BE license. It is also advantageous if you have good digital and technical skills. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work independently and have the ability to plan and prioritize your tasks, while also valuing collaboration with your colleagues. You are an initiative-taking and confident person who strives to provide good service to our visitors and is driven to deliver solutions.

About us

Sports and Community is one of the departments of the Culture and Leisure Administration responsible for the operation of sports facilities, green areas, sports halls, ice surfaces, football facilities, hiking trails, and outdoor baths. The current position is located at Facility West, where we are responsible for, among others, Smedjehov Ice Hall, hiking trails, and outdoor baths, Stadsparksvallen, Råslätts IP, Sports House, etc. You will be placed at Smedjehov Ice Hall, which, in addition to operating the ice hall, is also responsible for the operation of the municipality's hiking trails and outdoor baths. Good to know

You must be comfortable with varying work hours such as mornings, evenings, and weekends. Work hours are adjusted according to the season and needs, so schedules will be set based on the current seasonal requirements. Selection and interviews will take place continuously, so do not wait to submit your application. The position is permanent, but a probationary period may apply. Start date to be agreed upon.

To work with children and youth, we must have an approved extract from the police's criminal record.
