Occupational Therapist for the EVA Project in Mölndal Municipality

In Mölndal Municipality, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's everyday lives every day!

This position is part of the EVA project, a three-year development project within Mölndal Municipality supported by the European Social Fund (ESF). The project is conducted in collaboration between the Social and Labor Market Administration and the Education Administration. The project's goal is to assist individuals receiving social assistance to approach work or studies through strengthened work capacity, increased motivation, and better-tailored interventions. The project also has a long-term ambition: to develop sustainable methods and working practices that can be implemented in regular operations and provide more people with the right support even after the project's duration.

As an occupational therapist, you will be employed within the Social and Labor Market Administration but will be placed in the Education Administration, guidance and competence unit, where the EVA project is located. You will perform your tasks on behalf of labor market secretaries within the Social and Labor Market Administration.

With us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives while becoming part of an engaged and innovative team.

The position is a project employment at 80% until 2028-05-30.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist in the EVA project, you will play a central role in an engaged team where the participant's needs, resources, and conditions are at the center. You will work both practically and developmentally and have the opportunity to help shape, test, and develop new working methods and approaches for work-oriented rehabilitation in close collaboration with another occupational therapist and other professional roles. You will work in a team with study and career counselors as well as project leaders. You will also collaborate with all units within Mölndal Municipality's labor market process to best contribute to the individual's labor market planning.

Examples of tasks:

  • Conduct activity-based assessments and work capacity analyses.
  • Support participants with functional variations, mental health issues, or other rehabilitation needs.
  • Adapt interventions based on participants' functional abilities and needs to enable increased participation in work-preparatory activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues such as study and career counselors, staff within social services and the labor market unit, educational providers, and other actors.
  • Contribute expert knowledge in participant interventions and in the development of sustainable working methods within the municipality.
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of methods within the framework of the project's goals.

As we have digitized large parts of our application process and continue to develop new digital solutions, we would like you to have high digital competence and be comfortable working in digital systems.

To succeed in the role, you need to be solution-oriented and have the ability to see and highlight people's resources. You can independently drive cases forward, plan your work, and make decisions within the framework of your assignment.
