We are looking for nursing assistants for our acute geriatric care departments

We are currently seeking temporary staff with the possibility of summer employment during our vacation period, weeks 25-34.

Jakobsbergsgeriatriken has an acute geriatric mission and receives our elderly, frail, and multi-sick patients from acute hospitals, directly from home or ambulance, as well as referrals from general practitioners.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant with us, you will participate in the direct care of our patients in collaboration with other staff. Your tasks include conducting various checks, recording measurements, taking samples, changing dressings, and ensuring that patients receive good care.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants or an employer certificate confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) in the Patient Safety Act (2010:659)

Experience from acute care and/or inpatient care.

Meritorious: Familiarity with the TakeCare journal system.

Personal Qualities

You have a genuine interest in geriatric patients and always focus on the patient in care. You prioritize patient safety and working environment by contributing with good communication and security in patient contact. You have an open and positive attitude and enjoy collaborating in a team.

Other Important Information

To complete your application, it must include a personal letter, CV, proof of education, and if you have applied and received proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, please attach this. We also wish for you to indicate in your application whether you wish to work days/evenings and/or nights.

The position will be filled provided that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional certification. The same requirements apply to non-certified staff with patient contact.
