School Psychologist with PLA Assignment to Södertälje Municipality

About the Assignment
The position combines work as a school psychologist with management responsibility (PLA) for the health and medical care part of the psychologists' assignments. You will work closely with the operational manager for the psychologists and assist in profession-specific issues within HSL.
As PLA, you have overall responsibility for patient safety and quality within HSL, with a particular focus on investigation work and, if necessary, other HSL-related tasks. The assignment involves ensuring quality and further developing the part of the psychologists' work that falls under HSL.
The PLA part is not fixed in percentage but varies according to the needs of the organization. In addition to the PLA part, you have assignments as a school psychologist at two contact schools.
The psychologist group consists of 10 psychologists who work with preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted primary and secondary schools, including PLA. The psychologists are centrally employed at the Resource Center and regularly collaborate in various forums.
As a school psychologist in Södertälje, you have access to continuous professional development and skills enhancement, including through collegial and external supervision. Recently, development areas have included relational leadership, complex intelligence assessments, and language disorders. Södertälje Municipality prioritizes student health highly, which permeates daily work.
Responsibilities in the PLA Assignment
In the role of PLA, you are responsible for:
- Leading ongoing quality and patient safety work and annually preparing quality and patient safety reports
- Developing, enhancing, and ensuring the quality of routines and support materials related to HSL and related processes
- Preparing and coordinating professional meetings and collegial supervision for the psychologist group
- Assisting the operational manager in the procurement of psychological services
- Monitoring research, regulations, and legislation concerning the psychological interventions of student health
- Collaborating with external actors and healthcare neighbors as needed
Work as a School Psychologist
Each psychologist is responsible for their own schools and primarily works preventively and promotively within student health, for example, through:
- Guidance and consultation for staff and school management
- Lectures and skills-enhancing initiatives
- Collaboration in the schools' student health teams
- The work also includes intelligence assessments with high-quality requirements, supported by both collegial and external supervision.
Who are you?
You are a licensed psychologist with experience working as a school psychologist and feel confident in both consultative and investigative roles. You have an interest in professional development and want to contribute to further developing the school psychologist's role alongside colleagues and student health teams.
Requirements:
- Licensed psychologist
- Experience working as a school psychologist
- Knowledge of and experience with investigations concerning intellectual disabilities
- Good ability to plan, structure, and prioritize
- Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
