In beautiful nature with sea and forest, Ängelholm is close to the major cities in the Öresund region. Our day surgery unit in Ängelholm belongs to the anesthesiology/surgery/ICU area of Skåne's northwest hospitals. Today, the surgical unit in Ängelholm primarily conducts planned day surgery, as many surgical procedures that only a few years ago required inpatient care are now performed within the framework of short-term care.

The surgical unit consists of surgical, anesthesiology, sterile, day surgery, and recovery operations. We provide specialized planned care in orthopedics, surgery, gynecology, urology, dentistry, and ear-nose-throat, and we receive both adults and children during the day, Monday to Friday. We are about 90 employees, and the team consists of operating room nurses, anesthetists, nurses, nursing assistants, sterile technicians, and doctors. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome you who want to work with leadership and are ready to take on the challenge of developing our sterile unit in Ängelholm together with engaged employees. In this position, you will work in a combination of unit manager at 50 percent and clinical duties as a sterile technician at 50 percent. As a manager, you will lead employees and guide your operation towards the expected goals. Your employees' engagement is crucial for success in your role, and you value coaching, providing feedback, evaluating performance, promoting collaboration, and creating a good work environment. Together with your employees, you will develop the operation through effective working methods with high quality and continuously follow up for learning and further development. You have employer and management responsibility that encompasses employees, operations, and finances.

The sterile unit is the hub of our surgical unit, where our primary task is to ensure that there are clean, intact, and sterilized instruments. We also handle the instruments of the outpatient clinics and wards in the hospital, as well as several external clients.

Your work as a sterile technician with us will consist of sterile technical work such as cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments. The work is independent, without patient contact, and characterized by personal responsibility, sometimes in a fast-paced environment, but you are still close to your colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained sterile technician or nursing assistant with experience working in a sterile technical unit. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We also prefer that you are an experienced computer user with a technical interest and a willingness to learn new things.
