Södra Cell Mönsterås central workshop is now looking for a machine operator. The position is an important part of ensuring the workshop's capacity, reducing dependence on external machining, and strengthening our delivery capability in maintenance and repair work. The position is located within Södra Cell Mönsterås' maintenance organization. You belong to the Central Workshop's resource group within Technical Service MEK and work closely with process maintenance and the operations organization.

As a machine operator, you will work with mechanical machining. This may involve the manufacturing and modification of machine parts such as shafts, bushings, couplings, shims, pump wheels, and similar components. General mechanical maintenance may also be relevant. All work is carried out in close collaboration with the maintenance organization and operations. The role is broad and varied and includes both planned and more urgent tasks, where quick action can be crucial for the factory's availability and facility utilization. The work is primarily conducted in the Central Workshop's machine park in close dialogue with clients and surrounding technical support functions.

Your role includes, among other things:

· Conventional turning

· Milling on CNC milling machines.

· Drilling, etc. If time permits, and if needed, it is advantageous if you can also perform:

· Repair and maintenance work on mechanical equipment

· Assembly and installation of mechanical components

· Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving during urgent operational disturbances

· Contribute to other general mechanical work in the workshop and out in the facility

The position is permanent, full-time, located at Södra Cell in Mönsterås. Regular working hours apply during the day. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, solution-focused, and confident in their mechanical skills. You thrive in a daily routine where tasks vary and where you take responsibility for both planning and executing your work. In the role, you need to be able to switch between planned efforts and more urgent situations while maintaining structure and focus.

You have, among other things:

• High school education with a focus on workshop, technology, or mechanics – or equivalent experience

• Documented experience in machining, preferably in both conventional machining and CNC

• Good ability to work independently and in a team

• Ability to prioritize and manage work even when the pace is high

As a person, you are organized and structured, with a strong drive and a responsible work approach. You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with colleagues in different parts of the organization. You are confident in handling urgent situations and have the ability to remain calm even under pressure. Safety is a natural part of your work, and you have a good understanding of both risks and consequences in an industrial environment.

In addition, you also need:

• Good computer skills

• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, for safety reasons

• Driver's license B
