HiC is in a clear growth phase in southern Sweden and is now looking for an experienced estimator who wants to take a central role in our construction projects. For us, estimating is not a support function - it is a strategic part of the business.

Location: Kalmar, Karlskrona or Ronneby (Växjö is also possible)

Your Responsibilities

With us, you will get involved early when a request comes in. Together with the business manager, you will set the direction and then you will independently drive the estimating work with a clear mandate. You are expected not only to calculate but to understand the business, identify risks, and ensure that the contractual conditions are correctly managed before we submit a bid. Our projects usually range from 25-300 million SEK, which requires structure, risk awareness, and business understanding.

In this role, you will work with:

• developing cost estimates for construction projects for municipalities and regions.
• analyzing tender documents (AF/AFD), identifying deviations, and assessing contractual risks.
• managing subcontractor offers and questions and answers in TendSign.
• conducting risk assessments regarding penalties, time risks, compensation models, and special requirements.
• contributing to realistic project planning and ensuring that the estimate and timeline are aligned.
• ensuring that contractual and business risks are clearly transferred to production upon handover.

The role is business- and risk-driven, not just technical estimating.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience in estimating within construction and who has worked on projects of similar size and complexity. You are comfortable with quantity calculations, experienced in reading contract documents, and have a good understanding of risks related to time, compensation models, and requirements.

You have practical knowledge of:

• AB 04 and ABT 06.
• AF/AFD and its deviations.
• various compensation models.
• change order management.

You may have an academic background in construction or a practical background from production. The most important thing is that you see the connection between estimating, execution, and business.
