Are you interested in endoscopy and gastroenterology? Then this is an opportunity for you!

Skaraborg's endoscopy clinic has a location in Skövde where urgent and planned patient care is provided, and in Lidköping where planned patient care is the focus.

The two clinics work integrated based on a common patient waiting list. We perform colonoscopies, gastroscopies, sigmoidoscopies, ERCP, PEG insertions, and changing PEG to gastrotubes. We also collaborate with surgery, operations, and ENT clinics as well as IBD clinics.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at the endoscopy clinic, you will prepare patients for examinations, administer medications, and assist during procedures. Your responsibilities also include participating in the clinics' improvement work, including task shifting conducted in focus groups and areas of responsibility. As a nurse, you contribute to providing good care and high-quality healthcare with a focus on patient safety. You are also responsible for providing patients with information both before and after the examination so that they feel involved in their care. There is currently a need for nurses in both Skövde and Lidköping. You will primarily be placed at one of the locations, but work at another location may occur in the position.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed nurse. Having specialist knowledge is an advantage. The work requires you to be able to work structured and independently while enjoying teamwork and having good collaboration skills. You are communicative and pedagogical in your interactions with patients and relatives and have an interest in improvement and development work. The most important thing is that you have a desire to develop, see opportunities, and are flexible based on collaboration between the locations.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes introductory days, mentoring and training days, as well as observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and practice skills, as well as grow into their new profession.

In the event of recruiting nurses with foreign qualifications, the position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licensure.
