About the Job

As a nursing assistant, you play an important societal role and are the one who makes everyday life work for our tenants.

As a nursing assistant at Silvergruvan care and nursing home, you create a safe and meaningful daily life for our residents. You work person-centered and support in everything from personal care, meals to social activities and collaboration with relatives. You also perform tasks delegated by licensed staff and document in our IT systems. Your schedule will be set for day and evening shifts as well as every other weekend.

The role involves teamwork and active work to motivate and strengthen the resident's own resources. Silvergruvan care and nursing home is a modern, newly built facility from 2022 with three floors, several balconies, and spacious activity areas. There are 60 apartments distributed among geriatric psychiatry, somatics, and dementia. We are also Gothenburg's first academic care and nursing home.

About You

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate of protected professional title, or can show that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new regulations were introduced. Experience from previous work in care and nursing is a requirement for the position. The work requires computer skills for documentation in IT systems and good Swedish language skills both spoken and written to communicate effectively with others.

Meritorious

Further education in care and nursing as well as supervisor training or a willingness to take the training. As an academic care and nursing home, we value the ability to mentor and support students and new colleagues.

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks and ensures they are carried out in the best way. You are attentive and aware of the needs, feelings, and opinions of residents and colleagues. You are collaborative and work to achieve common goals together with your colleagues. In the role, it is important that you have a pedagogical approach and contribute to a learning and safe environment.
