Vårdcentralen Eden is an established health care unit in the heart of multicultural Malmö. Our patients are relatively young and come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, but we also focus on our older and most vulnerable patients through our Mobile Primary Care Team and our Elderly Reception.

Our team consists of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, nursing assistants, secretaries, and administrators. We are constantly working to develop interdisciplinary collaboration, and we always have an internal consulting physician available for questions. However, primary care places high demands on your ability to drive your collaboration forward on your own initiative and work independently.

The health center is located near Möllevångstorget, and there are excellent communication options by train and bus if you commute. There are also shops and good lunch restaurants nearby.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the nurse is crucial for the patient flow to function well. It is important to be able to triage patients to the right profession, at the right level of care, and to make correct medical prioritizations. These assessments can be made via phone, chat, email, video calls, or in person. The nurses work together with the team leader who is available for questions, but we also work according to RGS advisory support. To gain extra consensus and collegial support, we regularly hold meetings with case discussions both within the nursing group and interdisciplinary.

We also offer the opportunity for your own reception and a personal area of responsibility, especially if you have a specialist education. If you do not already have further education, there are good opportunities for paid training in the long run. We see it as a given that you enjoy mentoring both students and colleagues. As a newcomer, you will be offered an introduction tailored to your current level of competence. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to shadow for your own tasks and to observe other professions for a deeper insight into what primary care entails.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, and we place great importance on participation in scheduling so that you can balance your work and personal life, but it is desirable that your schedule includes one to two shifts a week until 17:00.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement for the position. Having further education as a district nurse is a strong merit, and experience working in a health center or making quick medical assessments is also an advantage.

Working in Primary Care means you need to know a little about a lot and become a specialist in being a generalist and being comfortable with that. Therefore, we are looking for someone who sees change as an opportunity and enjoys contributing to interdisciplinary collaboration. Humility and the ability to laugh together are important factors for our shared work environment. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
