Make a difference. Every day.

Are you an occupational therapist with an interest in neurology, teamwork, and a varied assignment? Then you should apply here! We welcome both experienced and newly graduated occupational therapists.

We now have the opportunity to offer an exciting position within our day care as we have a longer parental leave.

In Hässleholm, there is a personal and welcoming hospital with great drive. Here, you will find the advantages of a small hospital combined with broad knowledge and humble pride. With us, there is a desire for development with accessibility and reliability as guiding principles.

The occupational therapy department is gathered in the rehabilitation area (VO) with nearly seventy employees distributed across six different teams, including a total of twelve occupational therapists responsible for all outpatient and inpatient care within the hospital in Hässleholm. Within our area, there are specialist clinics in the form of pain clinics, memory clinics, day care, and rehabilitation clinics. In March, we will also open a rehabilitation department with six places.

At the hospital, we work from a holistic perspective where preventive, function-enhancing, compensatory, and supportive measures/interventions are important components depending on the area we work in. Together with both internal and external actors, we conduct solid teamwork and collaboration to achieve the best possible results for our patients.

We have a great employee survey and offer a good working environment with varied tasks and competent colleagues that you work closely with, where you can safely develop in your professional role.

We have long worked with routines such as job descriptions for each profession and also priority lists and annual cycles with clear goals for the department and team. We also work with Right Competence Usage, where we have, for example, transferred certain administrative tasks to administrative staff.

Hässleholm Hospital is within walking distance from the Central Station, and city buses stop near our entrance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an occupational therapist who, in close collaboration with two experienced occupational therapist colleagues and other colleagues in the team, will work towards our specialized day care. In the team you will also find physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, social workers, rehabilitation doctors, psychologists, speech therapists, nurses, and medical secretaries.

You will work in an interdisciplinary specialist team and be responsible for assessment and training/rehabilitation of our patient groups. The largest diagnosis group is stroke patients, but day care will also include patients with traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, other neurological symptoms and diseases, as well as multi-trauma. The goal of occupational therapy and the entire team's work is to promote patients' ability to live a valuable life in line with their own wishes and needs in relation to the demands of the environment. We work with rehabilitation methodology and map functional and activity ability and together with the patient, formulate goals described in a rehabilitation plan. The rehabilitation plan includes long-term goals and expectations, as well as goals that exist during the rehabilitation period in day rehabilitation.

The occupational therapist in the team analyzes the patient's ability to use their cognitive, motor, and social skills effectively in daily activities at home, in the workplace, and in the community, which may involve workplace visits and home visits. We use a coaching approach to guide the patient in their daily life, implement supportive strategies, and provide knowledge to the patient and relatives. Treatments can be performed in the occupational therapy training kitchen, rehabilitation garden, carpentry, computer room, and in creative activities. We primarily have individual treatment, but also group treatment based on Fatigue Management. Some assistive device assessments occur, and if necessary, contact with other colleagues in hospital care, primary care, and municipalities. Our goal is to strive for participation and involvement from our patients, which is why the work is based on a person-centered perspective.

Some weekend duty within orthopedic activities is included and distributed among all occupational therapists.

The position is a temporary contract during the period 260615-270831 or by agreement.
