The Geriatric Center is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of the patient's medical, physical, psychological, and social functioning in the context of illness is performed by a team comprising multiple professions. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are conducted in both inpatient and outpatient settings with the patient's individual needs in focus.

The Psychogeriatrics Department, Ward 2 has 11 beds and provides specialized psychogeriatric care, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals with cognitive disorders and behavioral and psychological symptoms related to dementia (BPSD) regardless of age. Patient care and treatment are based on individual needs and are carried out by well-functioning teams. The department works with care strategies and person-centered care.

With us, you will participate in a work schedule model 3-3, which allows for more recovery time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistant nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

In the role of assistant nurse, you will perform nursing work together with nurses. You will carry out medical procedures based on the patient's condition and prescriptions. You will collaborate with other professionals in the care team, other healthcare providers, and the patient's relatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved assistant nurse diploma. We prefer candidates with professional experience with individuals with cognitive disorders.

In addition to your nursing competence, we value your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues. As a person, you are engaged and positive. We also see that you are interested in contributing your knowledge to develop the operations within the clinic. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

As of July 1, 2023, assistant nurse is a protected professional title. This means you need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title assistant nurse within healthcare and social services. You apply for proof of the protected professional title for assistant nurse from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
