Syréngården

In Gotland, there are several special accommodations distributed across six locations.

Our mission is to help the elderly around the clock with various services to provide the conditions for a meaningful and dignified life. With the user at the center, we work with individual implementation plans, where the work is planned and executed based on our values: trust, care, and participation.

Syréngården is a dementia care facility located centrally in Roma, about 20 kilometers from Visby. The accommodation has 19 places spread over two floors. We have a large mature garden with walking paths, a nice pavilion, and close to forest areas.

Syréngården is certified in the Silviahemmet care philosophy, which shapes our working methods. Here, assistant nurses, care assistants, nurses, unit managers, and rehabilitation staff work closely together.

We are now looking for an assistant nurse/care assistant for a temporary position until 26-09-30.

Your responsibilities

As an assistant nurse/care assistant at Syréngården, you will, among other things:

• work person-centered with the individual's needs and wishes in focus
• perform standard care tasks based on the residents' needs
• provide personal care
• manage medications and delegated health care tasks
• perform household chores
• plan and carry out activities based on individual wishes and needs
• act as a contact person, which involves responsibility for establishing and following up on implementation plans as well as communication and collaboration with relatives

The work is scheduled according to a basic schedule with daytime, evening, and every other weekend shifts.

Who are you?

You who are applying for the position as an assistant nurse have a recognized assistant nurse education. To be employed as an assistant nurse, you must meet the requirements to use the protected job title according to current regulations.

For the role of care assistant, it is desirable that you have a complete high school education. It is an advantage if you have education focused on care and nursing, for example, as a nursing aide.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in care and/or elderly care. Since the unit handles cognitive/medical disabilities, BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms in Dementia) and palliative care, it is also advantageous if you have experience in these areas.

As a person, you are secure in both yourself and your professional role. You work in a structured way, find it easy to collaborate, and enjoy being part of a team. You are flexible and see daily challenges as opportunities for learning and development. To thrive in the role, you have a good ability to adapt your approach and attitude based on different individuals and situations. You are curious, open to new working methods, and actively contribute to the development of the organization – both independently and together with colleagues.

It is important that you are confident in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as all communication and documentation is conducted in Swedish.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability according to the competencies described above.
