In Gotland, there are ten special accommodations in six locations where we work together to provide the elderly with a safe and meaningful everyday life around the clock.

In teams with nursing assistants, residential assistants, and nurses, we always put the user at the center and work based on our values: trust, care, and participation.

Roma Elderly Care is located in central Gotland, about 20 kilometers from Visby. Here, there are 50 apartments, of which 10 are dementia-oriented, in a modern and pleasant environment. We are about 60 dedicated employees who together create a workplace filled with knowledge, warmth, and joy.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work with care and service initiatives based on the method Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC). Our focus is to create safety and a meaningful everyday life for each resident, respecting individual needs, conditions, and wishes.

Your tasks include personal care, delegated health and medical services, contact with relatives, household chores, and planning and implementing activities based on individual needs.

The assignment also includes case management, work with implementation plans, documentation, and some administration. You will work in a team and have close cooperation with the unit manager, nurse, and rehabilitation staff.

The position involves working according to a basic schedule with day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend.

Who Are You?

We primarily seek those who are trained nursing assistants, preferably with experience in elderly care. To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations.

If you are applying as a residential assistant, any form of education focused on care and support, such as caregiver training, is advantageous. You should have previously worked in the care profession and/or elderly care.

You enjoy working both independently and in teams, take initiative, and turn ideas into practice. As a person, you are service-oriented, structured, and confident in your professional role.

You have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written forms, as communication and documentation occur in Swedish. You are attentive, adapt your communication to the recipient, and possess a strong empathetic ability. With us, the needs of the residents are always at the center.
