At Vadsbogymnasiet in Mariestad, eleven national programs are offered, both college preparatory and vocational preparatory. There is also sports specialization, young entrepreneurship, and program certifications. The school currently has over 700 students and about 75 educators. Here we work together in program working groups, close to the principal and various professionals in student health.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vocational teacher in the construction and civil engineering program at Vadsbogymnasiet, you are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing teaching within various courses depending on the grade and competence. You are responsible for procuring APL placements and thus have dialogue with external organizations. The job also includes mentoring tasks where you have an overarching role in following your students' knowledge development and study situation during their three years in the program.

The work team consists of three vocational teachers, one instructor, and two teachers who teach in common subjects. Vadsbogymnasiet is a school characterized by safety and study peace where students and staff thrive and can focus on learning and education. The school has a low turnover of teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a qualified vocational teacher with a teaching license and has good experience from working in the construction industry. We would also like you to have experience teaching in the construction and civil engineering program.

If you have previous leadership experience with youth from previous work or community activities, it is considered an advantage.

You have an interest and drive to further develop the program and its core courses towards the future together with your colleagues. You should also be keen to create and maintain good relationships with employers in the industry.

You are a secure and stable person who wants to develop and constantly improve your teaching in an engaged and responsible manner. In your role, you need to be communicative and have a good ability to create a positive learning environment for your students. It is important to us that you have a sense of humor and find it easy to collaborate - it contributes to us having fun together!

A driver's license is a requirement for the position.
