Do you want to teach future architects at Chalmers?
We are looking for artistic university lecturers with experience in teaching and research, or a background in practice. The position involves part-time teaching (20-80 percent by agreement). We can offer collegial interaction and interesting tasks in a stimulating intellectual environment, and we want you to contribute skills in design and a solid interest in the significance of the designed living environment for sustainable development.
The artistic lecturer position is an introductory role to gain experience in teaching and research, alongside practice that is intended to interact with the development of teaching in the field.
We are looking for someone with a master's degree in architecture and 1-3 years of experience as a practicing architect. You can combine the architect's artistically investigative approach with an interest in architecture's methods and theory, and you have experience and good qualifications in teaching. Since teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English, it is necessary that you master both languages fluently.
Skills we are looking for:
- Architectural history and theory
- Development and transformation
- Social inclusion
- Experimental architecture
- Urban planning
- Coordination and exhibition
We would like you to have experience in several of these themes, and in your application, it should clearly state which theme(s) are of interest and that you want to highlight. The positions will be located in one of the departments of Architectural Theory and Method, Building Design, and Urban Planning.

Teaching at the master's level primarily aims to further develop students' ability to critically examine and transform existing environments and buildings with a particular focus on architectural representation and digital tools as well as material processes.
Main responsibilities include:
- Course planning, organizing, administration, and course development
- Course activities such as lectures, workshops, seminars, etc.
