The Cardiology Clinic in Sundsvall consists of a complete cardiology operation. We have, among other things, PCI operations around the clock, our own pacemaker unit for follow-up and implantation, and highly specialized clinics for the region's ACHD, PAH, and heart transplant patients. We have a cardiogenetic clinic under development.

The care department in Sundsvall includes 28 cardiac monitoring places, consisting of 6 cardiac intensive care places and 22 general cardiology care places.

The clinic has a complete clinical physiology section staffed by its own personnel and clinical physiologists in close collaboration with the clinics. The cardiologist participates in several clinical trials with experienced research nurses.

The clinic's goal, alongside conducting core operations, is to create a pleasant working environment for both younger and older colleagues. We are keen to foster a teaching-friendly work climate where initiatives for development and improvement are welcomed and encouraged.

We are now looking for a senior physician for the Cardiology Clinic in Sundsvall. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

As a senior physician, you are expected to contribute with knowledge and experience. You are expected to take educational responsibility towards junior colleagues, nursing staff, and participate in knowledge-enhancing discussions, among other things. You are expected to actively participate in clinic development, especially in your specialty area, such as method development, wise clinical choices, and similar. The basic task, that is, handling patients, is expected to be managed according to available evidence, proven experience, and respect for the individual where you have a high ability to take responsibility for time management.

You will be an ambassador for the clinic towards other operations within the region, and you are expected to work to maintain a good reputation for cardiology in Sundsvall.

• Regular medical work within an inpatient clinic where on-call duties are included.
• If applicable, work within cardiology subspecialty.
• Supervision and education.
• Operational development.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a specialist physician in cardiology.
• As a senior physician, you should have on-call competence and be able to act as an independent on-call physician. In case of on-call work, you should be able to arrive at the workplace within 30 minutes.
• Has 3 years of full-time clinical service after obtaining specialist competence.
• Has experience working as a cardiology on-call physician.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you

• Have experience working in a Heart Clinic and cardiology department.
• Have leadership and administrative experience/training.
• Have teaching and/or supervision experience.
• Have a doctoral degree with active research in a relevant field.
