We are a force that connects, holds together, and develops the county. Within Region Västernorrland, we are all part of something bigger.

The regional ambulance service has a county-wide mission and is responsible for the entire county's ambulance care. Within the operation, there are eleven ambulance stations, three of which are operated through agreements with external providers. In the clinical operation, nurses, specialist nurses, and nursing assistants work. In addition to ambulances, the ambulance service also operates internal medical management, which is an operational role based at the alarm center.

Ambulance care is an operation that is constantly evolving and changing to maintain accessible ambulance care that meets the needs of patients and the rest of the healthcare system. Therefore, several change initiatives are underway within the operation to create a more accessible and robust ambulance service, for example, through the introduction of assessment vehicles, the establishment of patient transport services, and the adaptation of work methods and training.

The operation has approximately 200 employees, including six unit managers. The operation has a broad mandate, covering everything from transport to accidents and medical conditions. Approximately 36,000 alarms are received annually.

Through the national and regional organization for knowledge management, the ambulance service actively participates in the development and implementation of common guidelines, processes, and working methods.

The operation has important collaborations in its daily work with, among others, SOS Alarm, emergency departments, hospital wards, primary care, psychiatric care, state and municipal rescue services, police, social services, municipal care and nursing, and ambulance services from other regions. We are now looking for a Quality Nurse for the Ambulance Service. Your placement will be within the regional management staff, where you will be introduced by the operations manager, business developer, care controller, and ambulance chief physician.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.
