Then you are welcome to join us! We are looking for 3 specialist nursing assistants, or experienced nursing assistants, for permanent positions, and 3 nursing assistants for a 6-month temporary position at Måsta äng.

Måsta äng care and nursing home is located in Slagsta just outside Eskilstuna, close to nature and residential areas. There are 88 apartments distributed across eight departments. About half of the apartments are adapted for people with dementia.

We are an academic care and nursing home. This means that we collaborate with Mälardalen University (MDU) in research and studies aimed at promoting quality of life and well-being for the elderly and people with dementia. There are a total of seven academic residences in Sweden. As an academic residence, we actively contribute to scientific development by participating in and conducting studies where we test and evaluate innovative products and methods. Currently, we are making a significant investment in person-centered care as our main research focus, in close collaboration with Mälardalen University.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of specialist nursing assistant, you will guide and support your colleagues in their daily work. This may involve assessments in various complex care situations such as interaction, approach, documentation, and care plans. You will also have the opportunity to supervise students and trainees and provide support to other care staff. An important part of the job is to plan, implement, and evaluate care interventions, and we work together to develop the operations forward.

As a nursing assistant, you will perform regular tasks based on each client's individual needs. You provide support and service to clients in their daily lives to create a meaningful, safe, and active everyday life. You have delegation, work with documentation, and establish care plans. We work person-centered and start from each individual's needs and wishes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed or ongoing education to become a specialist nursing assistant or is an experienced nursing assistant (if applying for the specialist nursing assistant position).
• Completed education as a nursing assistant (if applying for the nursing assistant position).
• Experience working in care and nursing.
• Experience with documentation.

If you have experience working with people with cognitive disabilities, such as dementia, and if you have training/experience in BPSD, it is an advantage.

As a person, you are curious, patient, and willing to try new things. As a specialist nursing assistant, you need to enjoy motivating and guiding your colleagues in their daily work. You dare to make your own decisions and find new ways forward.

Information about protected title:

To be eligible for a permanent position, you need to show us proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You can apply for this on their website, and we recommend that you do so now. If you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, you only need to show a certificate of employment indicating title, employment form, and duration of employment, proving that you are covered by the transitional rules for permanently employed staff. If you have applied for and are waiting for proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, we can only offer you a temporary position as a care assistant for a maximum of 3 months.
