Edsbergsvillan is located in a quiet residential area in Edsviken and caters to children and young people with intellectual disabilities, with or without additional disabilities such as autism, mobility impairments, and epilepsy. Most of the children are multiply disabled and have significant care needs.
Do you want to make each day a little better for those who need it most? As a support assistant at Soldatvillan/Edsbergsvillan, you are an active part of the operation, working closely with children and young people with disabilities to create a safe and developing everyday life based on their needs and self-determination.
About the position
As a support assistant, you will support children and young people with various disabilities living at Soldatvillan or Edsbergsvillan. Here, you will be a part of their daily lives and create a safe and developing environment where each individual is given the opportunity to grow based on their own conditions through their wishes and self-determination. We work with structure, predictability, and clarifying pedagogy, and your role will be to provide security, affirmation, and pedagogical support. Some of the tasks include:
- Support in daily care, ADL, and social training
- Planning and implementation of leisure activities
- Contact with relatives, schools, and mobile health teams
- Cooking and practical household work
- Documentation
Soldatvillan is located in a quiet residential area in Viby and caters to children and young people with intellectual disabilities, with or without additional disabilities such as autism, mobility impairments, and epilepsy. Most of the children are multiply disabled and have significant care needs.

We are looking for several people for our two child and youth accommodations to work during the summer. We also see it positively if you can work beforehand for introduction hours. Since we operate 24/7, working hours may be scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and nights (sleeping and awake).
About you
To succeed in this job, we see that you have:
- At least a high school education, such as a child and youth program, health and care program, or other equivalent education.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with children and young people, preferably with disabilities. It is also positive if you have worked with clarifying pedagogy and/or low-arousal responses.
As a person, you are attentive, relationship-building, and have a knack for creating security and engagement. You thrive in close collaboration with children, young people, and colleagues, contributing to a positive work environment. You are flexible, solution-focused, and always prioritize the needs of the children and young people.
About the recruitment process
Before any employment, an extract from the criminal record must be submitted along with valid photo identification. You need to request the extract yourself via the police's website: The extract we need is called "Extract for work with children with disabilities." As we care about both your and our work environment as well as the children and young people living in our accommodations, a background check will also be conducted before employment can be offered.
If you are called for an interview, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
