JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the social worker in reception is to work towards helping individuals achieve their own financial independence while simultaneously handling financial assistance. The social workers at the financial support reception are the first point of contact for citizens seeking financial assistance for the first time and conduct preliminary assessments in all cases that come into contact with the unit.

The work involves investigating and deciding on the right to financial support and assistance for living in cases where the need for assistance is assessed to be short-term, a maximum of three months. The social worker collaborates with other operations within and outside the municipality to find solutions for the individual. You work independently in the processing procedure but collaborate daily with colleagues in the group.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You need to have previous experience in public authority work and preferably experience in working with financial support. Knowledge of the operational system Lifecare is an advantage.

As a person, you are flexible, have a calm and attentive demeanor. Your communication is clear, and you ensure that messages and expectations are understood by all involved. You make decisions even under time pressure and demonstrate good judgment even when circumstances are limited. You work in a structured manner, adhere to set deadlines, and prioritize effectively.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The city applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. The position is a temporary contract until February 2027.
