Licensed Dietitian for Hudiksvall Municipality

Responsibilities

As the nutrition responsible dietitian, you will be a key person in our preventive work for good and safe care – both within elderly care (Säbo, SoL, and home healthcare) and within LSS accommodations. Your mission is to ensure that no one suffers from nutrition-related malnutrition by spreading knowledge, developing routines, and educating staff across the entire social services and healthcare sectors.

You will be part of the Quality Assurance Team, which is a unit for several consolidated support functions within the administration. Your colleagues have different assignments and positions but share the common denominator of working with quality issues. You will have several close colleagues, including the Medical Responsible Nurse, Medical Responsible for Rehabilitation, Business Developer, and Social Responsible Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement routines and quality systems regarding nutrition and nutrition-related conditions, together with the medical responsible nurse (MAS) and other colleagues.
• Educate and support employees, nurses, and nutrition representatives throughout the process – from identifying nutrition problems to following up on actions.
• Provide consultative support to licensed staff regarding advanced nutritional treatment, such as calculating nutritional needs and recommending enteral nutrition.
• Participate in management meetings and nutrition representative meetings and collaborate with the Nutrition Unit and other relevant functions within the municipality.
• Contribute to increased cost-effectiveness and safer care regarding nutrition, both within elderly care and LSS.
• Participate in internal controls, self-controls, investigations, cost calculations, and contract follow-ups as needed.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian and who wants to make a difference in care and support. If you have experience in clinical work, especially as a municipal dietitian or within social services, LSS, or HSL, we see it as an advantage.

For this role, we see that you are self-driven and proactive, and that you enjoy collaborating in a team to achieve common goals. We value that you have good knowledge of the Health and Medical Services Act, the Patient Safety Act, and the Social Services Act. Additionally, you are pedagogical, enjoy educating others, and feel comfortable giving presentations and expressing yourself clearly both verbally and in writing.
