NorthLab Photonics is in an exciting growth phase. With increasing demand for our products and services, we are now strengthening our organization and looking for a service technician to join our service and repair team.

We can offer an exciting job with technically complex products and we have cutting-edge technology in fiber optics. The work is primarily on-site, and you will have two colleagues in the group who support you in your daily work.

As a service technician, you will primarily work with maintenance, service, and repair of our products sent in by customers from all over the world. The work is performed in our lab and repair workshop and includes:

• Troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of advanced instruments and subsystems

• Work in fine mechanics, electronics, and optics

• Quality assurance with a focus on precision, functionality, and customer satisfaction

An important part of the role is communication with customers in service matters where you keep them updated during the service process and gather information for better troubleshooting.

You will gain in-depth knowledge of fiber optics and photonics and their application areas in fiber lasers, medical technology, sensors, etc., through internal training.

Your background: We believe that you currently work as some form of service technician and have a few years of experience in the field. You have a strong interest in technology and want to further develop in a very exciting technical area. You have technical competence primarily in fine mechanics and electronics and are skilled in troubleshooting. Experience in fiber optics is an advantage but not a requirement.

You as a person: We are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes responsibility for their work. You are analytical, structured, and meticulous. Good collaboration skills are another quality that distinguishes you, but above all, you are service-oriented and enjoy supporting both colleagues and customers.

For us, your attitude, personality, and ability to quickly grasp new technology are more important than many years of experience. English is a language you master both in speech and writing.
