Within the healthcare administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into regional and local healthcare areas. The local healthcare area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, as well as primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these will work towards providing good and close care.

The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the largest clinics in the hospital with about 300 employees. The clinic's care places are distributed according to medical and geriatric specialties. The majority of admissions are acute and occur via the emergency department. The outpatient operations consist of medicine, geriatrics, and dialysis clinics. Within the medicine clinic, there are also day care services and a physiological laboratory. The clinic also has a research unit, which is unique for a regional hospital.

We are now looking for healthcare assistants for the medical and geriatric clinic, ward 7, focusing on diabetes, kidney diseases, and hematology. On the wards, we work in a shift model that promotes the opportunity for recovery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a healthcare assistant, you are an important part of the teamwork alongside other professional categories. The work offers great variety in terms of content and pace. As a healthcare assistant, you are responsible for basic care and monitoring of basic parameters. You work closely with nurses and doctors in a team. Together, we provide the best care with the patient at the center.

The position includes mixed shifts, which means working days, evenings, weekends, and nights. The working hours can be adjusted according to the applicant's wishes. QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for healthcare assistants who have successfully completed the care and nursing program or equivalent education. You have taken the specialization course in emergency care and have an interest in internal medicine and geriatrics. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a medical ward and/or geriatric ward or other acute care settings.

As a person, you are innovative, proactive, and responsible, with a forward-driving attitude. In our wards, there is a high patient flow where a larger proportion of patients are admitted acutely, which requires you to be structured and efficient with the ability to lead and reprioritize work together with your colleagues, as well as to switch work pace when needed.
