The Skellefteå Surgical Department is part of the Center for Surgical Operations. The department provides both emergency and planned care for patients from across the county in surgery and urology. We encompass surgical and urological outpatient clinics with planned visits in surgery, urology, and endoscopy, inpatient wards, day care wards, and chemotherapy outpatient clinics. Daily surgical and urological procedures are performed in the operating department, as well as minor surgeries in the surgical outpatient clinic.

We conduct continuous improvement work and have a clear focus on development, education, and research. Mentoring and training students from various professional categories is a natural part of our daily routine – many of them also become our future colleagues.

We are now looking for a junior doctor with an interest in urology to join our team in Skellefteå. The position is a fixed-term employment with the possibility of extension as a resident doctor in urology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a junior doctor with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure.

In the role of junior doctor, you work in the outpatient clinic, as well as in the inpatient wards and operating department. The work is varied, and you have an important role around the patient. In addition to surgical work, the job involves developing relationships and being a compassionate person, both for our patients and their relatives, as well as creating good working relationships.

We offer an introduction to the work based on the clinic's routines. The work as a junior doctor is conducted under supervision, and when you and your supervisor feel you are ready, you will have the opportunity to expand your area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a Swedish medical license with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare by the time of employment. You have an interest in specializing in urology.

Consideration is given to personal suitability and ability to collaborate.

We require good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1.
