ValueOne is looking for a Buyer for one of our clients in the manufacturing industry in Ovanåker municipality. The client has a vacancy in the organization and the need for expertise is ongoing. The role is initially filled through employment with ValueOne with a clear ambition for over-recruitment.

ValueOne specializes in supply chain management, purchasing, and logistics. We offer our clients services in three business areas: leasing of purchasing and logistics consultants, recruitment of buyers and logisticians, and Management Consulting where ValueOne develops our clients' purchasing, logistics, and supply chain in terms of strategy, model, method, process, organization, and competence.

About the role

As a Buyer, you are responsible for securing the availability of materials for production through business-oriented purchasing work, focusing on quality, delivery reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The role aims to ensure and develop purchasing flows and build strong and long-term supplier relationships within the manufacturing industry.

  • Ensure that input materials and components are available on time, with good quality and at the right price.
  • Order materials and follow up on delivery status based on needs and forecasts from production.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers for the best possible business terms.
  • Follow up and evaluate supplier performance and initiate improvement actions as needed.
  • Identify and establish new suppliers based on the business's requirements and development.
  • Actively work on streamlining purchasing flows and contribute to improving internal processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments such as planning, preparation, and goods reception.
  • Manage purchasing administration and work in the business system Monitor G5.

Experience and competence

We are looking for someone with experience in purchasing within the manufacturing industry. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have experience negotiating with suppliers, post-secondary education in purchasing, economics, or a similar field, as well as experience working in the business system Monitor.

As a person, you are structured, business-minded, and solution-oriented with a good ability to collaborate, communicate, and build long-term relationships both internally and externally.
