You play a central role. The work is based on individual needs, implementation plans, and the organization's guidelines and goals. Your tasks consist of helping care recipients with what they cannot manage on their own, such as hygiene, medication, social interaction, and meals.

Job Responsibilities

You are a central part of the care and support around our care recipients. You work in a team where the elderly are the focus, and together you will provide a good quality of life with joy and gentle hands, as well as strengthen the elderly's abilities. The work is based on individual needs/implementation plans and the organization's guidelines and goals. We work with a common value base and increased participation and collaboration as a starting point.

Your tasks consist of helping residents with what they cannot manage themselves, such as hygiene, dressing/undressing, social interaction, and meals. A nursing assistant's tasks also include administering medication under the delegation of a nurse. Daily work is planned in Senovic, and documentation is done in the operational system Combine. You participate in workplace meetings and representative meetings. The work also includes contact with relatives, unit managers, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for a trained nursing assistant or someone with equivalent competence who wants to be part of our team. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can both understand and convey written and verbal information clearly. You are passionate about helping others and can easily empathize with others' situations. Showing respect for others' wishes and needs is important to you, and you enjoy collaborating to find solutions to achieve our common goals. In our work, we encounter constant changes, so it is important that you are flexible, can remain calm, and maintain a good mood even in stressful situations. Previous work experience in care and support, as well as working with individuals with cognitive impairments and low-arousal approaches, is an advantage. You contribute to a pleasant work environment where everyone should feel welcome and seen – employees, residents, relatives, and visitors.

More about the positions

The positions are permanent full-time with day, evening, and weekend shifts. We work according to the full/part-time model, which means there is an opportunity to work part-time. We coordinate across all units.

Hortlaxgården is located about 10 km south of the city in a rural idyll, with a beautiful view of Hortlax Church. Hortlaxgården is a special accommodation for the elderly with 60 places divided into four units, of which two units are dementia care and two units are care and support accommodation.
