We are looking for
We are looking for a trained specialist nurse with at least two years of experience in emergency care. For employment, a C or C1 driver's license is an advantage. A B driver's license or a B driver's license with exemption is required. Good driving experience and three years of continuous driver's license possession are necessary. As a nurse, a specialist education in prehospital care is advantageous. Applicants with other specialist training may also be considered.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with different colleagues. In meetings with patients and relatives, it requires that you are attentive and have a good understanding of people in various difficult situations. You possess personal maturity and have the ability to make independent decisions with good judgment. You must be stress-resistant, able to remain calm, and work effectively in stressful situations. In your interactions with people, you act professionally and build trust. Good physical condition is required as heavy lifting is involved in the work.

The ambulance service has a unique societal function consisting of working around the clock with prehospital emergency care where employees meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. Organizationally, the Ambulance Gällivare is part of the road-based ambulance service in the county, which is part of the emergency care area and performs about 2500 missions per year.

The ambulance crew is often the first on the scene where you, as an ambulance nurse, make the first important assessment and provide the most urgent care. You encounter various situations and challenges where your contribution can be crucial for the patient and make a difference for others. As an ambulance nurse, you are an important part of the ambulance team, which consists of ambulance caregivers/nurses as your closest colleague.

Information about the position
We offer permanent full-time positions in around-the-clock operations, with night shifts occurring. Start date according to agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.

As part of the recruitment process, applicants will be tested according to a set test plan. Traffic safety and physical ability are parts that applicants will go through along with a personal interview.
