The Ambulance Service in Arjeplog is a rural station, where we work together 24/7 throughout the year with pre-hospital emergency care, with the vital task of providing care and support to patients of all ages. We are looking for

We are now looking for you who are a licensed nurse with at least 3 years of continuous possession of a B driver's license. You should have good physical fitness as heavy lifting occurs in the work. Therefore, physical tests will be conducted before employment. We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience in emergency care, elderly care, or primary care.

This is what you will work with

In ambulance care, you meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury either in their homes, outdoors, or at accident sites. Together with an ambulance caregiver or ambulance nurse, you form a team that is often the first on the scene in case of serious illness or accidents. As an ambulance nurse, you make the initial assessment, provide treatment, and have the medical responsibility to decide on care and treatment measures.

In ambulance care, each intervention involves unique situations and challenges where your help can be crucial and make a real difference. The ambulance service is organizationally its own unit within acute care, and in rural areas, it includes integration with primary care/HC. The team works together and collaborates with other professionals such as emergency departments, municipalities, rescue services, and police.

Arjeplog is Sweden's fourth largest municipality by area and is also one of four municipalities in Norrbotten where the ambulance service collaborates with the police/mountain rescue in mountain rescue missions in terrain.

Information about the position

We offer a trainee position where you are employed as a nurse in the ambulance service. The first year is a trainee year where you alternate between work/training/observation. The work is a full-time position with start date according to agreement. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Double compensation for work during inconvenient working hours.
