The Child and Youth Rehabilitation in Kalix caters to children and young people aged 0-18 with permanent disabilities. Our catchment area is Eastern Norrbotten. Our mission is to work in teams around the child based on four perspectives: medical, educational, psychological, and social.
We are looking for
We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist with a valid driver's license (B). Good Swedish in both spoken and written form is required; it is an advantage if you can speak Finnish and have experience working with children and young people with disabilities. Personal qualities are highly valued. You collaborate easily, appreciate and see the benefits of working with others, and possess empathetic skills and strong communication abilities. You see the bigger picture and consider the broader perspective, adapting easily to changing circumstances. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
Your responsibilities
As a physiotherapist, you will work with your specific professional expertise to assess motor function and ability. This includes treating by stimulating motor development, preventing complications, and compensating for disabilities. You will design training programs, conduct assessments, prescribe and test individually adapted aids, and provide information and guidance to patients, relatives, and staff. As a physiotherapist in the habilitation team, you will work alongside occupational therapists, social workers, special educators, psychologists, nurses, and doctors. We also collaborate extensively with other stakeholders around the child/youth and their network. You will receive an introduction from physiotherapist colleagues in the regional habilitation.

Information about the position
We offer you a permanent full-time position, daytime Monday to Friday. Start date by agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
The position is within pediatric care: We apply a background check prior to employment decisions according to the regulations in the Act (2013:852) on background checks of persons working with children.
