The Mission of the Social Administration

The mission of the social administration is to meet people's need for security. The administration shall work to ensure that the municipality's residents receive social care in various forms, with a special responsibility to safeguard the needs and interests of vulnerable groups. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the Meeting Place, you will work with daily activities for people with dementia diagnoses. The goal is to promote the user's opportunities to live a dignified life based on their own wishes and needs. Daily activities include group activities tailored to the users' abilities. You will work together with a colleague to conduct functional and activity analyses on participants. Based on the mapping, activities are adapted to the users' cognitive abilities. Documentation is performed in the operational system Pulsen Combine. The employer uses Microsoft 365.

You will introduce new users to the Meeting Place and report users to special housing where they will move in. A prerequisite for achieving the goals of the operation is to create good relationships with relatives to identify interests among participants. Collaboration with the Meeting Point, Relative Consultant, and unit manager is central. Collaboration with other services also occurs. The work also includes the development of the operation, including through digital technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a high school education in healthcare and/or interest and experience in working at the Meeting Place and developing it. We value experience in elderly care as well as good collaboration skills and a professional approach. We place great importance on personal suitability, which means you are flexible and secure in your professional role, and can work independently as well as in a group. Health and medical tasks are included. You work closely with users, so you should have a strong interest in people, patience, and the ability to understand the users' situation. It is taken for granted that you have a good approach towards users and their relatives. We would like you to have knowledge of minority languages, such as Sami, Meänkieli, or Finnish. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of the IT systems used: Pulsen Combine and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook-mail). E-identification in the work occurs.
