We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced specialist physician in psychiatry who wants to take the next step as a senior physician at the Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Säter.

About the clinic - where history meets the future

The Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Säter is one of Sweden's five regional clinics for forensic psychiatry, to which regions without their own forensic psychiatric care also refer patients. The clinic consists of seven departments with a total of 78 care places. The clinic has its roots in the historic municipality of Säter in the Skönvik area, the hospital was inaugurated as early as 1912 and has historically been one of the largest psychiatric clinics in the country. Today, we provide highly specialized care, with a strong focus on care/treatment, patient safety, and security.

The role of senior physician - leading with evidence, responsibility, and optimism together with skilled colleagues

• Set medical direction and help coordinate medical interventions for the patients you are responsible for
• Lead development work and implement evidence-based methods
• Be a mentor and supervisor to younger colleagues
• Collaborate closely with the clinic's other employees

Your working hours will mainly be scheduled during daytime Monday - Friday, but you will also be involved in on-call work as a backup at the general psychiatric clinic in Säter. You have three senior physician colleagues tied to the departments who handle the daily patient work, and together with the other employees, you build a stable and safe care team.

Mandatory Requirements

• Must be a specialist physician in psychiatry with Swedish authorization
• Have documented experience in psychiatry
• Possess good personal qualities that promote teamwork and change work
• Be a pedagogical and communicative team player who can inspire others
• Hold a B driving license

Desirable

• Experience in forensic psychiatry
• Trained forensic psychiatrist
