Coordinator Nurse/Nurse, welcome to ward 22!

Ward 22, a department specializing in lung, gastroenterological, and hematological diseases.

It is an operation with a high flow of admissions and discharges, and the department needs you with a strong interest in influencing flow and patient safety. Our goal is to open more care places as soon as possible to meet the need for medical care places within our specialty. The largest diagnostic groups in pulmonology are COPD, lung cancer, lung fibrosis, and various drainage in the pleural cavity. The gastroenterological diseases include inflammatory bowel diseases and liver cirrhosis, along with complications resulting from these. In the hematological area, there are acute leukemias, myeloma, and lymphoma.

As a nurse, you will have a wide variety of tasks, such as nursing, medical treatments and technology, palliative and psychosocial work with often severely ill patients. For some patients, various chemotherapy treatments are also provided in the department, which is usually given in outpatient care.

Care is in constant motion; together with colleagues, you have the opportunity to help develop and shape the daily work in the department.

Coordinator Nurse/Nurse, Medicine Falun Job Responsibilities

Your mission:

  • As a nurse with us, you work in a team with nursing assistants and doctors as well as other professions based on the patients' needs. Together, you and your colleagues support each other throughout the entire work shift. We cherish a culture of cooperation, collaboration, and joy. Thanks to our various specialties, you will gain a broad medical foundation and the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in a field based on your interest and the needs of the operation.
  • As a coordinator nurse, you work for a well-functioning flow between inpatient care and discharge. Ensuring that patients have a safe homecoming or transition to another form of care. When working as a coordinator nurse, you work daytime hours. The coordination assignment is shared among several nurses at the workplace.

We want you to feel secure in your role while being challenged to grow. Therefore, we offer:

  • The medical clinic's foundational year for those new to the profession, with allocated time for education, practical training, mentorship, and supervision.
  • Nurses with professional experience but new to the medical clinic are offered the opportunity to participate in selected parts of the foundational year.
  • A strong focus on present leadership and continuous support from colleagues and managers.

We are looking for:

Nurses with experience from similar work, newly graduated nurses, and nurses who have worked in other specialties but wish to broaden their competence. Regardless of experience or newly graduated, the most important thing is that you are curious and engaged. Together, we will provide safe and secure care to hospitalized patients in need of our specialist competence.

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse

Meritorious:

  • Experience in pulmonology, gastroenterology, or hematology

Personal qualities:

  • Have a strong interest in the coordination function and in ensuring a good patient flow between regions and municipalities
  • It is important that you are flexible, have an easy time collaborating, and enjoy working in a team
