The Social Care Administration works based on the principle that all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health care, home care, and special accommodations. About 800 employees work here, available around the clock for our target groups.
We are now looking for someone interested in the position of care assistant within Kornknarren Home Care. Our home care group is responsible for clients in central Avesta as well as outside the central area and a few accommodations in the same building as the home care office.
The staff at Kornknarren are responsible, helpful, and we collaborate to provide the best home care service to all our clients. We have a mixed age group from 20 to 60 years, with both male and female employees, which allows us to benefit from everyone's different experiences and ideas. RESPONSIBILITIES
As a care assistant within Kornknarren Home Care, your goal is to provide care of the highest quality. Your main tasks are to meet the individual's care needs in their own home based on the approved assistance from the Social Services Act.
You will walk, cycle, or drive the home care vehicles to different clients where you assist them with personal care such as dressing, hygiene, and help during meal situations. In your work, you will use a mobile phone as a tool for managing work schedules and confirming services. Medical care may also be part of your duties, delegated by a nurse. You will also assist in social activities such as walks.
The work is partially physically demanding with heavier lifting, transfers, and movement in the form of stairs to the clients' residences. You will handle alarms, document, and manage deviation reporting. Since services are performed in the individual's own home, there may be pets present.
The work consists of day, evening, and weekend shifts. Kornknarren coordinates with Rågen Home Care. You will be employed in the Social Care Administration with placement at Kornknarren Home Care, but the coordination means that you will sometimes work at Rågen and sometimes at other units within the other coordination areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
The job requires that you are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks. You enjoy working with people, have an easy time collaborating, and thrive in the role of providing care of the highest quality. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions and have the ability to empathize with others, even in stressful situations.
We are looking for someone who has a certified care assistant education. Experience in the healthcare field is an advantage. We would also like you to have prior experience working in home care.
Since a large part of your tasks involves communicating with different parties and working with documentation, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required, both spoken and written. Basic computer skills for documentation, scheduling, and self-service are also a requirement.
As the job involves heavy transfers and a lot of movement, you should be physically capable of handling this. You need to be able to cycle and use the municipality's electric bikes. You must have a driver's license and be able to drive the municipality's vehicles in your work.
Pets may be present during visits, and you need to be comfortable with this.
OTHER
