The Social Services Administration operates on the principle that all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home care, and special accommodations. Approximately 800 employees work around the clock for our target groups.

We are now looking for a care assistant for Kornknarren Home Care. Our home care group is responsible for clients in central Avesta as well as outside the central area and some accommodations in the same building as the home care location.

The staff at Kornknarren are responsible, helpful, and we collaborate to provide the best home care for all our clients. We are of mixed ages from 20 to 60 years, with both male and female employees, which means we greatly benefit from everyone's different experiences and ideas. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant within Kornknarren Home Care, your overall goal is to provide care of the highest quality to our clients in their own homes. Your work is based on the services approved under the Social Services Act and aims to meet each individual's needs for care, support, and assistance in daily life.

Your main tasks involve helping clients with personal care, which may include assistance with dressing, hygiene, and meals. You also assist with social activities such as walks or other types of social interaction. The work also includes medical care delegated by a nurse, where you perform tasks such as medication management and other medical interventions.

You will use a mobile phone as a tool to manage work schedules, documentation, and approval of services. The work also involves handling alarms, reporting deviations, and ensuring that all services are documented correctly according to current guidelines.

The work involves moving between different clients' homes, either by walking, cycling, or driving the home care vehicles. Since services are performed in the individual's own home, there may be pets present, and the work can be physically demanding, involving lifting and transfers.

The work typically requires working every other weekend and includes both day and evening shifts.

As a care assistant within home care, you are an important part of a team that works to provide each client with a dignified and secure existence in their own home. Through your commitment and professionalism, you contribute to creating a good quality of life for the elderly while ensuring that all services are performed according to current guidelines and with the utmost care.

In the work within the care sector in Avesta municipality, co-planning is an important part of the organization. You will be employed in the Social Services Administration with placement at Kornknarren, but co-planning means that you may occasionally work at other units within the administration. Kornknarren Home Care is primarily co-planned with Rågen Home Care, both of which cover work in central Avesta.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a completed and approved care assistant education. Experience from care-related work is an advantage. If you have previous experience working with dementia, addiction, or mental health issues, that is considered a plus. You have an interest in undergoing training in medication delegation, and previous experience in medication delegation is advantageous.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, which allows you to communicate and understand information clearly and effectively. You are an experienced computer user and see using digital tools, such as computers, mobile phones, and various systems, as a natural part of your work. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of e-health and welfare technology such as 1177, keyless locks, alarms, remote supervision, and medication robots.

The work requires physical ability to handle uncomfortable working positions, transfers, and a lot of movement, such as walking up stairs, getting in and out of cars multiple times per shift, as well as cycling or walking for extended periods. You should also be able to perform lifts in connection with transfers or shopping.

You need to be okay with working in environments where there may be pets, strong odors, and smoking, as these are things you may encounter in your work.

To perform the job, you must have a B driver's license and be comfortable driving the municipality's cars for work purposes. You also need to be able to cycle with the municipality's loan bicycles when needed.
