JOB DESCRIPTION

As a fire controller with us, you play an important role in ensuring a safe and functioning fire safety operation within our organization. You work both strategically and operationally with preventive work, educating employees, and contributing to safe environments for patients, visitors, and staff. The role offers great freedom where you independently plan and execute your efforts while being part of a committed team and collaborating closely with the operations.

Main Responsibilities

• conduct self-inspections
• update, develop, and follow up governing documents within the systematic fire safety work (SBA)
• conduct training in fire safety and support the operations in their preventive work
• collaborate closely with the operations as well as external actors
• monitor laws, regulations, and directives to ensure that the operations comply with current requirements and develop their fire safety work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a driven and flexible person who thrives in a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable work environment. You take responsibility and have the ability to independently structure your work and drive issues forward. You handle both long-term strategic challenges and urgent situations with equal skill. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in close dialogue with both the operations and external actors.

To succeed in the role, the following is required:

• education as a firefighter within municipal rescue services (GRIB, SMO, or equivalent)
• experience working with supervision
• several years of experience in operational work as a firefighter or officer within municipal rescue services.

Experience in fire prevention work and/or as a trainer in fire safety is an advantage.
