About the role

As an HSE Engineer, you will play a central role in developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures. You will work to minimize risks, ensure compliance, and create a safety culture where employee health and safety are always in focus.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies: Ensure that our procedures comply with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Risk assessment and inspections: Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify and manage potential hazards.
• Training and awareness: Plan and conduct health and safety training for employees.
• Incident reporting and investigations: Be responsible for ensuring that accidents and incidents are reported, investigated, and analyzed to prevent future occurrences.
• Safety equipment: Check and monitor that protective equipment and emergency systems are in good condition and used correctly.
• Compliance with laws and regulations: Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure that the organization is always compliant.
• Crisis management and preparedness: Develop and implement emergency plans and lead efforts during crises.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education in occupational health and safety, security, or risk management.
• Experience working in a similar role, preferably in construction.
• Experience developing and implementing health and safety policies.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and safety standards.
• Experience with risk assessments, safety investigations, and reporting tools.

Personal qualities:

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to train and engage staff at all levels.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment.
