About Us

At Närhälsan Frölunda health center, you will be part of a wonderful team working for the health of the residents through advice, treatment, and health promotion.

The health center is located in a modern shopping center at Frölunda Torg in western Gothenburg. Our approximately 12,000 registered patients reflect the demographics of the district with a palette of different cultures, socioeconomics, and ages. Today, we are about 45 employees from various professions. We offer you a stimulating and meaningful job with competent colleagues, clear leadership, and development opportunities.

In addition to consultations with specialist physicians in general medicine and district nurses, we have diabetes, asthma/COPD, and blood pressure clinics. We also have a home visit unit and a psychosocial team. We are responsible for home healthcare, LSS/BSS, and special accommodations in the area. We also have a child health center that is part of Gothenburg's oldest family center, and we are connected to PTC, Närhälsan's center for clinical trials of medications.

About the Job

We are looking for a specialist physician in general medicine who wants to work full-time with us at Frölunda health center. With us, you will have an important role in both daily work and the continued development of our health center.

The tasks included in the position are:

• Standard health center work with patient visits, registered population, and continuity assignments.
• Assignment as the medically responsible physician (MR), where you are responsible for medical quality, follow up on routines, and work to ensure safe and secure care.
• A place in our management team, where you help drive the development of the operation, contribute to strategic decisions, and work closely with the operations manager and other management functions.

You and your colleagues have the opportunity to develop the operation, and continuous internal training is scheduled. There is also the possibility to specialize in different medical areas. The role includes supervision of ST and AT doctors as well as medical students, as it is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare personnel. We offer you good development opportunities, such as continuous further education. If you are a specialist in another area than general medicine, we will give you the opportunity, if interested, to specialize in general medicine.

About You

• You are a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine.
• You have the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare and language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement for the position.
• You enjoy both clinical work and strategic issues.
• You see the value in good collaboration, clear communication, and continued development of primary care.
• You have a commitment to continuity, quality, and a professional approach.

You want to be an active participant in the development work of the operation. It is important that you are communicative and can both collaborate and work independently. You have a good empathetic ability, a good approach towards patients as well as your colleagues, and you see a professional working method as a given.
