The client is an international consulting company in technology, design, and advisory services. They work with sustainable solutions in areas such as industry, energy, infrastructure, and digitalization, aiming to contribute to a more sustainable society through innovative technology and expert competence.

You will be part of an automation unit within the manufacturing industry where technical quality, safety, and functionality are at the core. The role provides you with the opportunity to transition from practical work in production or assembly to working more with design, technical solutions, and project planning.

You will work broadly within industrial automation and be part of projects – from planning to final installation and startup. The projects vary between new construction, modernization, and technical upgrades, providing a developing and varied everyday experience.

The work is project-based and involves close collaboration with assembly, production, customers, and suppliers. For those with practical experience from the industry, there is a natural opportunity to build on your skills and grow into the design role with support from experienced colleagues.

Key responsibilities: 

• Create, update, and ensure the quality of electrical designs

• Participate in technical assessments and project planning

• Be responsible for component selection and technical support for electrical assembly

• Follow projects from design to inspection and startup

• Conduct drawing reviews and technical checks together with colleagues

• Engage in dialogue with customers and suppliers regarding technical solutions

• Ensure that designs meet requirements for functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness

• Work on both upgrades of existing machines and installation of new systems

• High school education in electrical engineering

• Work experience as an electrician in industrial automation, process industry, or similar industrial environment

• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• Experience in electrical design work within industrial automation or process industry

• Education/Experience working in E-Plan or similar systems

• Technical education at the university level or vocational college

We believe that you are currently working as an industrial electrician, maintenance electrician, or perhaps as a leading installer in electrical work and feel that you want to develop further. You have a strong practical understanding of how installation and automation work in reality – and now you want to take the step towards working more with design and technical solutions.

You are responsible, structured, and used to taking initiative in your work. Perhaps you have already held a leading role in assembly or maintenance and are confident in technical decisions.

As a person, you are curious and willing to learn new tools and methods. You thrive in collaboration with others but also have the ability to work independently. Above all, you have the ambition to develop and take the next step in your career within electrical design.
