Job Description

In the role of Transport Worker within the Healthcare Materials (MiV) area at Östra Sjukhuset, you work with supplying hospital wards and clinics with consumable materials. It is a social role where you meet many new people daily and have close contact with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities as a Transport Worker include, but are not limited to:

• ordering, receiving, and unpacking materials
• restocking customers with consumables and textiles
• reporting and following up on delivery discrepancies, as well as troubleshooting deliveries via phone contact with our suppliers

Working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:45.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is skilled at building good relationships with customers and colleagues through excellent service. As a person, you are responsible, detail-oriented, and cooperative. You are loyal to your tasks and show interest, willingness, and commitment to performing good work.

You have a completed upper secondary education, good IT skills, and experience working in digital systems. You communicate fluently in Swedish and can easily hold dialogues with colleagues as well as follow written and verbal work instructions. Since you are on the move for the majority of your workday, it is important that you have the physical fitness required to walk and stand for the entire workday, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.

Previous experience in warehouse and storage operations is an advantage, as is having a forklift license.

About Internal Logistics

Internal Logistics is located at the region's largest hospital and is responsible for ensuring that vital flows run smoothly – everything from laundry, medication, and materials to mail, assistive devices, sterile surgical equipment, and waste. In total, approximately 230 employees work within the area. One of our priority initiatives is Healthcare Materials Supply (MiV), which is part of the region's logistics and supply program. The purpose of MiV is to develop and streamline material supply within healthcare. This allows us to reduce material handling costs, free up more time for healthcare staff, and strengthen readiness. As part of the Internal Logistics team, you contribute to healthcare in Västra Götaland functioning in a safe and efficient manner – every day.

The position is a temporary hourly contract with the possibility of immediate start. For the position, a CV is required, and you must answer our selection and qualification questions. A cover letter is not required.
