Do you want to help ensure the operation of tomorrow's automated production? At Volvo Trucks, we are now looking for two AGV Technicians (Automated Guided Vehicles in production environments) for our maintenance department. In this role, you will become a key person in the work of developing, maintaining, and optimizing our AGV systems, which are a vital part of our modern and sustainable production.

About the Role

As an AGV Technician, you are responsible for ensuring that our AGV systems operate safely, efficiently, and with high availability. You will work both operationally and strategically on troubleshooting, maintenance, improvements, and development of our AGV solutions to ensure stable and reliable production. We are currently looking for two AGV technicians – one for the day shift and one for the evening shift.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high availability and operational reliability of the AGV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve disturbances within mechanics, electrical systems, control systems, and software.
  • Plan and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, and verification of new AGV solutions.
  • Identify and drive improvement work to increase safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal specialists within automation and IT.
  • Document changes and update technical documentation.
  • Contribute technical expertise and training to colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have technical education in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent experience. You have experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting. We would appreciate it if you also have:

  • Knowledge of AGV, AMR, or automation systems, or alternatively, a strong interest in the field.
  • Experience with PLCs, industrial networks, or robotics.
  • Ability to work systematically with problem-solving and continuous improvement.
