Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-run health centers, Health Center Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers evenings and weekends, and General Medicine Training Center.

We conduct a broad primary care operation where we offer care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

Our health center has undergone significant positive development in several areas in recent years. We have a positive spirit and there is a high degree of flexibility among the professional groups. We also ensure high quality in what we do and have the attitude that everyone is equally important.

The health center focuses on working behaviorally medically through the integration of psychological and somatic competence through the concept of IBH (integrated behavioral health). In this work, we have come a long way and also conduct research in the field. Other focus areas we have are education and research, and since 2020 we are one of the region's academic health centers. We also have a well-functioning elderly care clinic that started in 2017. We have also been early adopters of new technical solutions and continue to be curious in this area. We are an HBTQI-certified health center.

Cityhälsan Centrum is one of Norrköping's most centrally located health centers with about 14,300 registered patients and nearly 60 employees.

Job Description

We now have the opportunity to appoint a permanent employed diabetes nurse. As a diabetes nurse at the health center, you will have a diabetes clinic where you work relatively independently, but have a colleague and a diabetes responsible doctor in your team. You will also, to some extent, work with telephone counseling, which is one of the most important tasks we have at the health center. As a nurse with us, you will also have the role of resource nurse, where you, in collaboration with resource doctors and resource nursing assistants, take care of the acute situations that occur at the health center. At the beginning of 2026, we will establish a minor emergency clinic, two mornings a week to start with, staffed by doctors and nurses. It is conceivable that you will also work in one of these functions, which can contribute to variety and professional development.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or district nurse and have experience in diabetes care. Primary care experience and district nurse education are advantageous, as well as training in the diabetes field.

You are a positive person with great flexibility and have an easy time collaborating. You are engaged and interested in primary care. You enjoy being part of a larger context and in your professional role, you are empathetic and care about good relationships with others. You are also a person who can maintain a good structure and have good prioritization skills.
